- Under the catalysis of boron trifluoride etherate,the hydroxy acids(5-Phenylfuran-4-arylcarbinol-3-carboxylic Acids)were converted to lactones(4-Aryl-2-phenyl-4,6-dihydrofuro£Û3,4-c£İfuran-6-ones)smoothly.
