Abstract:
The CZE and HPLC separation of substituted piperazine designed and synthesized by our
research group was investigated. In CZE the influence of pH value of the buffer, the source of
the capillary, the type and concentration of the buffer was examined. The complete
separation of I and III was not obtained becauseof their similar electrophoretic migration
velocity under the optimized conditions of CZE. In HPLC the complete separation of the four
compounds was obtained employing 85% acetonitrile-15% water as the mobile phase. It
demonstrated the two separation techniques based on different separation mechanism may be
complementary each other for the separation of drugs.
